Silva Free gives you more light in a smaller, smoother, and more versatile headlamp - all thanks to several innovative features. It’s got all the cables integrated in the headband for a better experience and optimal cooling for higher performance. All packed into the world’s first modular headlamp.
The 3000 lumen lamp head unit is the strongest of three lamp unit in the Free series. The strong light output makes it perfect for most activities, such as trail running, skiing and biking.
The CU2R is the first safety light produced by Ledlenser, offering white light, red light and flashing outputs.
A white LED provides a maximum brightness output of 40 lumens with constant and flashing outputs, with a beam range of up to 9 metres. There is also two red LEDs which offer both constant and flashing settings. The red light is useful for preserving your natural night vision, and is perfect as a rear safety light when out walking, running, cycling or climbing to alert others of your presence.
An elastic safety strap is included so the light can be worn around the arm/wrist or fastened around clothing and features reflective strips for enhanced visibility. The two ends of the strap are threaded through a stopper which can be pressed in to manually adjust the size of the strap to fit, and will not move unless force is applied. As well as being used on the strap, the light can also be removed from the strap and can be attached to a belt, clothing or a backpack with the metal clip on the back of the light.
The light is operated using the two push buttons on top to separately control the white and red outputs, with the grey button cycling through white on, white flash and off with each press or the red button cycling red on, red flash and off with each press.
To prevent accidental activation in transit the CU2R can be locked out by pressing both buttons down for 5 seconds until the white light blinks twice to notify that lockout has been entered, and then can be unlocked again in the same way.
The CU2R is powered using the built-in 280 mAh lithium-ion battery which can be easily recharged via the micro USB port on the back of the lamp. Simply lift the dust cover to plug the cable into the micro USB port and the standard USB-A at the other end plugs into a computer or compatible USB adaptor (not included). The indicator light will turn red to show charging is in progress and will go green once charging is complete after approximately 1 hour.
